Color Spectrum: 12 hours $150/person
Colour Spectrums is a personality styles and human dynamics model presented to groups in an entertaining, interactive workshop format.
Four primary colours represent the 4 dimensions of human development and functioning.
Blue Emotional development & functioning
Green Intellectual development & functioning
Red Physical development & functioning
Yellow Organizational development & functioning
Participants will sort the 4 colourfully illustrated attribute cards to reveal their Colour Spectrums; a particular blend of colours that is unique to each individual. Participants will interact in a dynamic process of self-reflection, group discussions and activities that provide insights (ah-ha! learning) and humour (ha-ha! learning) while naturally enhancing self-esteem, team-esteem and communication. Each participant will receive a set of 4 Colour Spectrums attribute cards and a certificate of participation.
Stress Management and Conflict Resolution
This workshop is based on the introductory session. In this dynamic presentation participants use the Stress Management/Conflict Resolution cards to work individually, in pairs and in small groups. This workshop is presented in a positive atmosphere of respect, fun and entertainment. Participants will explore, understand and implement solutions for:
- Bright colour esteem needs, stressors and shadow characteristics
- Pale colour challenges, stressors and shadow characteristics
- Fight and flight dynamics
- The key to great communication
- Stress management and conflict resolution.
Brightening Pale Colors
This workshop is based on the Introductory and Stress Management/Conflict Resolution workshops above. In this session, participants use the Brightening cards to work individually, in pairs and in small groups to:
- Learn about the common phrases, voice tone, pace and body language of each colour
- Learn about the facial expressions, physical appearance and interaction styles of each color
- Practice their palest colours by using the common phrases, voice tone, pace and body language of the colour
- Set goals to continue brightening their palest colours
- To match colors and intensities so they are great communicators
Person Centered Thinking: 12 hours $150/person
Person Centered Thinking tools help people to think and plan for their life. Person-centered thinking tools are a set of easy to use templates that are used to give structure to conversations. Using them is a practical way to capture information that feeds into care and support planning, as well as to improve understanding, communication and relationships. You will leave these two days of training equipped to lead conversations with those you serve and their networks about how to best support someone in achieving their full potential in a way that is meaningful to them. This training walks you through how to use several of the tools as well as how to decipher when each tool is the most useful.
Medication Administration: 4 hours $40/person
This training will equip learners in their roles who administer or manage medications with evidence based knowledge and techniques to ensure safe medication administration. The learner will be able to identify the six rights of medication administration, practice the steps to follow when administering medication, identify key components of a Medication Administration Record and medication packaging and discuss PRN medication administration including adjudicative therapies.
Note: this training is developed and presented by a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and is centered around SAI’s Medication Administration Policy and Procedures.
An Introduction to Gentle Teaching: 4 hours $40/person
This four hour session will provide learners with an overview of the philosophy of Gentle Teaching. We will explore the core concepts including the Central Purpose, the Four Pillars- to feel safe, to feel valued, to become loving, and to be engaged, as well as the Four Tools- our hands, our eyes, our words, and our presence. Learners will have the opportunity to begin understanding the basic principals of Gentle Teaching in a way that applies to all the relationships in their lives.
Gentle Teaching: Working with People: 14 hours $150/person
During this training the learner will explore the Pillars and Tools of Gentle Teaching on a deeper level. We have learners work together in practicing how to apply the concepts of Gentle Teaching in their day to day lives. This training works to equip learners with the skills needed to apply the concepts of Gentle Teaching with everyone whom they interact with. This training requires the learner to have completed the Introduction to Gentle Teaching prior to this class
